Tooth decay treatment and tooth restoration in Gdynia

A hole in a tooth, a chipped filling or pain with cold and sweet things - the sooner we deal with a cavity, the less treatment it needs. We remove decay under local anaesthetic with the tooth isolated by a rubber dam, then rebuild it with a tooth-coloured filling.

Does this sound like you?

How do you know it is time to have a tooth treated?

My tooth hurts with cold or sweet things.

I can feel a hole in my tooth with my tongue.

An old filling has fallen out or chipped.

Food keeps getting stuck between my teeth.

I can see a dark spot or discolouration on a tooth.

I have not had a check-up for a long time and I am afraid of what I will hear.

If any of these sounds like you, book a visit. At the examination we will check whether a filling is enough and tell you how much the treatment will cost.

The problem and the solution

How can we help?

Five concerns patients most often bring to tooth decay treatment, and what we do about each of them.

“I am afraid it will hurt.”

If you are worried about pain: we start treatment with a local anaesthetic, unless you prefer to be treated without one. We isolate the tooth with a rubber dam, so saliva does not get in the way and you can swallow freely throughout the visit.

“I do not want the filling to fall out again.”

If durability matters to you: we work with rubber dam isolation and under magnification, and we apply the composite in layers so that no gap forms between the tooth and the filling as it cures.

“I am afraid it will end in root canal treatment.”

If you are worried about the nerve: with a deep cavity we first check whether it can be saved with vital pulp therapy. We only carry out root canal treatment when it is truly necessary.

“I do not want the filling to show.”

If appearance matters to you: we match the composite shade to your tooth and shape the filling to recreate its natural form, so that once polished it is indistinguishable from the rest.

“I do not know how much it will cost.”

If the price is holding you back: a filling costs from 450 to 650 PLN, depending on the number of tooth surfaces, and a dental examination costs 200 PLN. You will learn the scope of treatment and the cost estimate after the examination.

How we choose the treatment

A filling, vital pulp therapy or root canal treatment - what does it depend on?

Conservative dentistry means removing decay and rebuilding the tooth while preserving as much of its own tissue as possible. How we treat a tooth depends on how deep the cavity goes.

Enamel and a shallow cavity A composite filling

We remove the decay and rebuild the tooth with tooth-coloured composite.

A deep cavity close to the nerve Vital pulp therapy

We protect the pulp with a biological material to keep the tooth vital.

Inflamed nerve Root canal treatment

When the nerve cannot be saved, we clean the canals under a microscope.

I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr Kiepuszewski at Flow Dental Studio, and I can honestly say he is an exceptional dentist. Wisdom tooth extraction, which so many patients dread, took place in a comfortable atmosphere. Dr Adrian is not only extremely competent but also has a wonderful approach to patients, full of understanding and care. I also decided on aligner treatment. The doctor's precise work and professionalism mean the visits run smoothly and in a pleasant atmosphere. My smile looks better and better, and I know it was the best decision. I recommend him to anyone who dreams of straight teeth without pain or discomfort! The Flow Dental Studio practice itself also deserves a special mention. Modern equipment, a beautiful interior, a pleasant atmosphere and kind, courteous staff make patients feel looked after, and the visit becomes a much more pleasant experience. It is a place that cares not only about healthy teeth but also about the patient's wellbeing.

It is rare to find places where professionalism goes hand in hand with genuine empathy — but Flow Dental Studio is exactly that kind of place. I had the pleasure (yes, it really can be called that!) of being in Dr Adrian's care for a wisdom tooth extraction I had been dreading for a long time because of severe hypersensitivity. What sets Dr Adrian apart is not only his exceptional skill and precision, but above all his extraordinary respect for the patient's boundaries and feelings. Every gesture and every word – full of calm, understanding and attentiveness – made me feel cared for at every stage of the procedure. A procedure that had filled me with fear turned out to be an almost... soothing experience. No pain, no tension, and great attention to my mental and physical comfort. This is not just dentistry at the highest level — it is the art of creating a safe space in a place usually associated with stress. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Dr Adrian and the whole Flow Dental Studio team for making it possible to come to you anxious — and leave grateful and smiling.

Tooth decay treatment and fillings: patient questions

Is a filling the same as a dental restoration?
Yes. “Plomba” is the everyday Polish word for a filling, i.e. the material we use to rebuild a tooth after removing decay. At Flow Dental Studio we place tooth-coloured composite fillings.
How much does a filling cost in Gdynia?
At Flow Dental Studio a composite filling costs 450 PLN on one tooth surface, 550 PLN on two and 650 PLN on three surfaces. A dental examination costs 200 PLN.
Is the treatment painful?
We begin treatment with an anaesthetic, unless the patient asks to be treated without one. Rubber dam isolation adds to your comfort: saliva does not flood the tooth being treated, and the suction does not dry out your mouth.
Why is treatment with a rubber dam so important?
A rubber dam is a thin rubber shield that separates the tooth being treated from the rest of the mouth. Saliva interferes with the bonding of composite material, so working in a dry field is important for a tight seal and a long-lasting filling.
What if the cavity reaches the nerve?
With a deep cavity, the dentist assesses whether the living pulp can be preserved with vital pulp therapy, for example using synthetic dentine. In extreme cases root canal treatment is necessary.
What materials do you use to restore teeth?
We restore teeth with modern composite materials that are highly resistant to wear and temperature. This means fillings can do their job for a long time, providing both good looks and function.
Do I need professional teeth cleaning before a filling is placed?
If the examination shows it is needed, we start treatment with professional teeth cleaning and oral hygiene instruction. Fillings placed on teeth that have not been cleaned would not be as tightly sealed and precise as they should be.
What techniques do you use to make fillings last?
We apply the composite in thin layers and cure each one separately, which reduces the risk of microleakage between the tooth and the filling. We rebuild the contact points with the neighbouring teeth, adjust the filling to your bite and polish it smooth.
What sets us apart

Conservative dentistry in Gdynia that recreates nature

Dentistry at Flow Dental Studio means precise, predictable treatment that rebuilds a tooth so it looks untouched. It is aesthetic treatment, with beautifully shaped anatomical features and a shade that blends in completely. Thanks to modern materials and techniques, we take care not only of appearance but above all of durability and function - the restored tooth works in harmony with the rest of your teeth, giving you durability and comfort in everyday life.

Durability

To restore teeth we use modern composite materials that are highly resistant to wear and temperature, so fillings can do their job for a long time.

Tight seal and biocompatibility

We place fillings under a microscope at 25x magnification and with rubber dam isolation. This gives us confidence that the diseased tooth tissue has been properly prepared, and the restored part bonds tightly with the tooth, reducing the risk of secondary decay.

Appearance

The restored tooth has well-shaped anatomical features and a shade that is indistinguishable from the rest of your teeth.

Step by step

What does tooth decay treatment in Gdynia involve?

A thorough examination and a personal oral hygiene plan

At the first visit we carry out a thorough examination and check-up of your teeth. If needed, we start with professional teeth cleaning and oral hygiene instruction. This is a very important step - fillings placed on teeth that have not been cleaned will not be as well sealed and precise as they should be.

Comfortable tooth decay treatment - anaesthesia, rubber dam and precise fillings

We begin tooth decay treatment with a local anaesthetic (unless the patient asks to be treated without one), and then place a rubber dam - a sheet of rubber that separates the teeth being treated from the rest of the mouth. This isolation makes treatment more comfortable and keeps saliva away from the cavity, which matters for the seal and durability of the filling - saliva interferes with the bonding of composite material. For you as a patient, a rubber dam also means more comfort: you can swallow freely and the suction does not dry out your mouth.

Precise treatment of cavities - from fillings to vital pulp therapy and root canal treatment

Once the isolation is in place, the dentist prepares the cavity and, depending on its depth, places a filling or decides on vital pulp therapy (synthetic dentine). In extreme cases root canal treatment is needed.

Layering composite for durability and function

A cavity is filled by applying composite material in layers, because each layer shrinks slightly as it cures (under the light). Placing it in small layers prevents microleakage between the tooth and the filling. The filling must also rebuild the contact points between teeth and blend smoothly into the healthy tooth tissue - overhangs trap food and cause gum inflammation.

The final stage - adjusting to the bite and precise polishing

In the last stage the tooth is adjusted to the bite so that it meets the opposing tooth correctly, and polished smooth.

Results and durability

Precision that makes it last

We work under magnification - we use loupes and a microscope, so we can see the finest details of the tooth structure, which translates into precise treatment. We use proven materials and isolation techniques such as a rubber dam, which protects the tooth from moisture and contamination, making procedures more effective and longer-lasting.

Every stage of treatment at Flow Dental Studio is based on proven, predictable procedures and modern technology that ensure an accurate and durable restoration.
